Our post-election policy vision

Ahead of the general election on 4th July, MSI Reproductive Choices is delighted to share with your our own two-page manifesto. This sets out the main public policy changes we will advocate for during the next Parliament.

These policy changes would boost access to sexual and reproductive healthcare, improve abortion rights, and tackle rising anti-choice extremism.

As a global organisation supporting access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in 36 countries around the world, we also advocate for key policy changes on international development.

Our policy goals fall under five key themes:

  1. Improving access to sexual and reproductive healthcare (for example, improving access to contraception)
  2. Abortion law and criminal justice (for example, decriminalising abortion)
  3. International development and gender equality (for example, restoring the commitment to invest 0.7% of Gross National Income in international development)
  4. Ageing population and the weaponization of women’s choices (for example, measuring policy success in terms of equalities and reproductive choice)
  5. Education, reproductive rights, and rising extremism (for example, implementing Safe Access Zones to protect clinics from anti-abortion harassment)
